Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts conference Acquired Brain Injury and the Family: A Biopsychosocial PerspectiveVirtual Event, March 30th & 31st, 2022. The Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA) Conference is for brain injury survivors, caregivers, families and professionals to gather and discuss the challenges faced by the brain injury community.

Keynote: Dr. Molly Parker, DPT – Insider Perspective: Key Insights from a Practitioner Turned Patient.  Dr. Molly Parker, DPT is a physical therapist, concussion survivor, and owner of Concussion Compass. Her unique lived experience as a healthcare provider and survivor provides a rich and in-depth look into brain injury recovery.
* Dr. Parker will walks the audience through the emotional journey of how she went from living on her mother’s couch, struggling to find information and treatment, to creating the first program of its kind for people living with persistent post-concussion symptoms (PPCS). Molly will share her key strategies and take-home points to help accelerate brain injury recovery and feel supported while doing it. She will also take us behind the scenes of what she refers to as “explaining concussion”… a clear roadmap to making an audible impact in the way healthcare providers, survivors, and loved ones can understand and advocate for brain injury recovery.
