Franklin, MA, and Webinar Option, May 9th, 2024, with the Franklin Special Education Parent Advisory Council. The IEP document will be seeing the first major change to the form in 20 years in the state of Massachusetts. Objectives:
– Understand why changes have been made
– Learn the timeline for implementation
– Review the new form and see what has been added
– Explore areas for student and parent input
– Identify areas for team collaboration
About the Speaker: Leslie Leslie is the Project Director for the Federation’s MassPAC and APPLE projects. As an attorney and founder of her local SEPAC, Leslie has the background and experience to develop and present workshops on special education and parent leadership for parents and professionals. Leslie also supports the postsecondary transition project work at FCSN. Leslie and her husband are the parents of two adult sons who attended public school on IEPs.
