Boston, May 16th, 2024, with the Museum of Fine Arts. Join the MFA’s seventh annual ASL Night, a celebration of Deaf culture welcoming members of the Deaf community and friends and features a Resource Fair. Enjoy American Sign Language tours, performances, art-making activities, and more.
* All programs are presented in either American Sign Language (ASL) with voice interpretation or English with ASL interpretation.
Events and Activities
* Drop-In Art Making: Small Decorative Bowls – Get inspired by “Hallyu! The Korean Wave” then decorate your own small ceramic bowl to use for trinkets or jewelry.
* Resource Fair -Drop by to meet representatives from Deaf Inc, the MFA, and elsewhere to learn about the resources and programs they offer.
* DEAFinitely Dance – See young Deaf, DeafBlind, hard of hearing, and hearing dancers perform dance combinations merging ASL, hip-hop, b-boy, and breakdancing.
* Photobooth -Channel your favorite K-pop idol and strike a pose in the“Hallyu!” photo booth.
* Art-Making Demo with Takiyah Harris – Catch a one-of a-kind art-making demo with Takiyah Harris, haptic artist and photographer.
