* In a study in 2012, 65% of autistic children who elope were missing long enough to be a cause for concern or had close calls with traffic injuries or were at risk for drowning.
In this presentation, discuss:
1) the most likely reasons that the behavior occurs.
2) some preventative measures to reduce the likelihood it will happen.
3) interventions that have shown to be effective when it does happen.
