East Boston, MA, August 26th, 2024, with the DCR Universal Access Program and Spaulding Rehabilitation. Free. Join Universal Access for some cool summer skating at Porrazzo Memorial Rink and enjoy a waterfront barbeque outside. There will be lots of equipment at the rink including ice sleds, skate walkers, ice skates, yak trax (ice grippers), helmets and games.
* Or you can just go out on the ice in your wheelchair.
* Staff and family members are encouraged to join on the ice to help/support
* Skating skills are not needed (just slip on a pair of our yak trax and walk out on the ice).||
You will need to:
- Sign up for a 1-hour time slot (Let us know if you prefer to start at 11:00, 11:15, 11:30, 11:45, 12, 12:15 or 12:30)
Provide the names of everyone participating (including family members and staff)
Complete Release Forms for everyone (including family members & staff) - Release Forms are good for one year and must be signed by a parent or legal guardian if people are under 18 years of age, or have a legal guardian assigned.

- Group Process: Groups totaling more than 6 people are asked to submit a group sign-in form one-week in advance, along with scanned release forms for the entire group. We will send you the group form when you pre-register.
- Before Registering: We suggest that everyone review our Essential Eligibility Criteria (EEC) and Program Attendance Guidelines to make sure you meet our EEC.
- Health Pre-Cautions: Time slots help prevent crowding. Masks are welcome, but not required. Please do not come if you have symptoms of the cold, fu, Covid etc.
