Providence, RI, October 21st & 22nd, 2025, 5- 6:00 p.m. only. This year the Roger Williams Zoo will offer their annual Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular with sensory-friendly times at these designated hours only.
* A special sensory-friendly Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular an hour before the trail opens to the public: designed those with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences and their families.
* For maximum enjoyment, the over 5000 pumpkins will light up the Zoo’s Wetlands Trail, but there will be no music or special effects.
* Tickets for this sensory-friendly hour are available for purchase in person ONLY at the Zoo’s admissions booth.
* NON SENSORY HOURS – This fall, Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular: Trivia – 2nd Edition returns September 26 – November 2, with a brand-new batch of brain busters carved into the glow of thousands of pumpkins. It’s chapter two of the ultimate fall challenge. From pop culture to historical legends, each twist in the trail brings questions that spark curiosity and fun for all ages.
* Pumpkin trail is open nightly from 6:00 – 10:30 pm, last entry at 10:00 pm. The Spectacular is open rain or shine, all tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for a different date.
