Virtual Event, May 28th, 2024, with the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS). The Health Equity Review initiative aims to conduct a health equity review assessment for DDS. They are looking for ways to advance equity throughout service delivery for adults ages 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the Commonwealth.
* They would like to hear from adults with I/DD or ASD who use DDS services, their families, caretakers, and others who can speak to DDS service delivery. The DDS wants to understand how to best deliver services to all adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. The DDS hopes to deliver services in a way that meets people’s needs no mater who they are or what their background is.
* You’ll have an opportunity to share how people experience the services that DDS delivers.
The listening session will include:
• Options for people to share information verbally and by writing comments in the chat and survey
• Live American Sign Language interpretation and Spanish translation
• Live translation in people’s requested languages
