* Learn about the relationship between Executive Function and Anxiety and practical strategies for improving student engagement.
* Hear about easy to implement preventive tools, strategies, and interventions for increasing student engagement.
* Webinars will present case studies, humorous stories, and examples of everyday challenging situations to help participants learn the best ways to build skills in students to reduce anxiety and improve executive functioning, accurate thinking, self-monitoring, and initiation.
* Virtual classroom and traditional classroom examples will be shared.
About the presenters:

  • Jessica Minahan is a licensed and board-certified behavior analyst, special educator, and school consultant, with experience supporting students who exhibit challenging behavior in urban public school systems. She is the co-author of The Behavior Code: A Practical Guide to Understanding and Teaching the Most Challenging Students,  and author of The Behavior Code Companion: Strategies, Tools, and Interventions for Supporting Students with Anxiety-Related or Oppositional Behaviors
  • Sarah Ward is Co-Director at Cognitive Connections LLP and co-author of the 360 Thinking executive function program.  She presents nationally and internationally on the topic of executive functions to a variety of professional and parent organizations, and to schools on how to implement the executive function based strategies into the classroom setting.
  • Kristen Jacobsen, Co-Director at Cognitive Connections LLP, has co-authored the 360 Thinking approach to facilitate executive functioning skills. Kristen has also co-authored the Academic Planner and Tracknets , and the Time Tracker Program and Get Ready*Do*Done instructional approach. She also presents workshops for teachers to deliver effective executive function based instruction that aims to reach all learners in their classrooms.
