North Attleboro, MA, Fall 2025. Volt Hockey is a power-chair sport designed for people with physical disabilities — especially for those with neuromuscular conditions — offering the chance to play independently, competitively, and as part of a team. Recruiting new players ages 7+ and 13+.
* Volt Hockey enables those with different physical abilities, such as Spinal Cord Injuries, SMA, DMD, CP, Spina Bifida, people with an amputation, or other physical conditions to participate in adaptive sports, be a part of a community, learn the value of teamwork & working hard to achieve goals
* Players use specialized power wheelchairs to maneuver a ball into a net to score goals.
* This is an adaptive form of indoor floor hockey
* Opportunity to engage the community.
* A Volt Hockey wheelchair is powered and is equipped with a fixed stick which is mounted directly at the tip of the hockey chair. The chairs can be customized to adapt to an individual’s needs to offer additional physical support.
