Part of their Parent & Caregivers of Young Adults & Adults Speaker Series dedicated to disability issues that directly affect the individuals they care for. Learn helpful information in a supportive environment with others who have shared experiences.
* Parents and caregivers can sign their child or adult up for a social group that takes place during the same 1.5-hour session.
* Topics may include:
- Increasing Independence and Self-Help Skills
- Transition to Adulthood
- Coping with Separation and Transitions
- Connecting with Community Agencies
- Fostering Social Skills at Home and in the Community
- Behavioral Strategies
- Teaching and Coping/ Taking Care of Yourself
