About the book “Allergic”. Maggie’s parents are preoccupied with the new baby they’re expecting, and her younger brothers are twins and in their own world. Maggie thinks a new puppy is the answer to feeling left out, but when she picks one for her birthday, she breaks out in hives and rashes. She’s severely allergic to anything with fur.
* With illustrations by Michelle Mee Nutter, Megan Wagner Lloyd draws on her own experiences with allergies to tell a heartfelt story of family, friendship,and finding a place to belong.
* There will be time for Q&A with author Megan Wagner Lloyd and illustrator Michelle Mee Nutter.
* Children accompanied by an adult, parents/caregivers, librarians, teachers are welcome to join.
* Author talk and book reading, followed by book signing. Books will be available for purchase.
* Donation of $10 requested for adult attendees – Children and Educators are free.
