Acton, MA, April 27th, 2024, 5 – 8 pm. Free evening for children and adults with disabilities or sensory sensitivities, including those that are deaf, blind, or autistic. The Museum will be closed to the general public during the event
* Enjoy the accessible and universally designed Discovery Museum and Discovery Woods while exploring interactive exhibits and participating in hands-on activities.
* Any family that can benefit from a limited capacity visit is welcome at this event.
* A medical diagnosis is not required.
* The Discovery Museum is ADA-compliant and all exhibits are accessible, designed according to Universal Design principles.
* Resources are always available to use including: noise-reducing headphones, a Social Story Guide in six languages, a sensory map to the Museum, and a designated “Take a Break” space.
*American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters may be requested during registration.
* Parking is free and dinner, including a gluten-free option, is provided at all evening events.
All Especially for Me events are free to attend, but preregistration is required.
