*Participants will learn about how to determine if it is appropriate to seek out therapeutic support services, such as occupational or speech and language therapy.
* If a child is having difficulties with functional, day-to-day tasks, occupational therapists can help with development of motor, sensory processing, and self-regulation skills.
* If a child is having difficulties pronouncing and using words, listening and understanding simple concepts, or interacting socially and playing with others, speech-language pathologists can support the child in developing essential communication skills.
* Both occupational and speech therapists can identify delays in underlying skills and work to improve these skills so that children can participate in the purposeful activities that they need and want to.
