Autism Support Group for Families with Young Children in MassachusettsJoan Lorentz Park Cambridge Public Library, with the Cambridge Commission on Disabilities. Celebrating Disability Pride – a festive event for the whole community that aims to increase visibility, dignity and inclusion of people with disabilities while raising awareness and reducing stigma. Conceived by a coalition of Cambridge residents with lived experience, this event aims to foster positive change and community celebration, modeling an inclusive and accessible public gathering.
* Complimentary, wheelchair-accessible shuttle service will be provided to and from the event with convenient stops at all library branches throughout the city from 10:30am to 2:30pm.
Event activities include:

  • Silent Disco, Arts and Crafts
  • Open Air Photo Booth, Giveaways
  • Play Street Equipment
  • Cambridge Public Library Storytime at 11:30am and 1pm
  • Accessibility Hub
  • Sensory-Friendly Area with Tactile Activities
  • Free Food. Informational Tabling on Resources
  • ASL, Bangla and Spanish live interpretation
