Virtual Support Group, September – October, 2023, with the Aspire Program at Mass General Hospital. Parents and caregivers will learn how to customize a parenting guide (a comprehensive toolbox for home, school, and the community) for their child’s unique ASD profile and needs.
* The book Take Charge of Treatment for Your Child with Asperger’s (ASD) will serve as the guiding textbook for this program.
* Discussion topics will include understanding your child’s unique profile, collaborating
effectively, building routines and schedules, behavioral expectations, helping your child work with important adults, managing crises and emotions, and promoting independence.
* Sessions are organized with presentations, interactive exercises, and opportunities to share.
* Weekly assignments support learning and the step-by-step development of your ASD parenting
binder.
