Advocates in Motion for Ages 13 - 22 Down Syndrome Family Support in Massachusetts CookingAschusnet, MA, June 26th, 2025, with LifeStream, Inc. of New Bedford. Tech Night is for individuals, employees, guardians and community members. The focus for the event will be an introduction to low to high assistive technology that can increase an individual’s independence in the kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and in the community. Examples include:

  • The use of a Brava oven or a device to assist in meal preparation in the kitchen.
  • Echo/Google equipment to control lights, TV, music devices, heat and alarms.
  • Motion sensor faucets, soap dispensers, and music devices.
  • Assistance with reading via OrCam device or Google Lens.
