About the Speaker: Dr. Stephen Shore has dedicated his life to
changing the way people understand individuals with autism. As a young child, he was almost institutionalized by his doctors, and he is now a college professor and published author.
* Stephen has written books that include College for Students with Disabilities, Understanding
Autism for Dummies, Ask and Tell: Self Advocacy and Disclosure for People on the Autism Spectrum, and Beyond the Wall.
* Currently, he serves on the board of Autism Speaks, and is one of the first two autistic board members in its history. He also currently serves as an honorary board member for Bailey’s Team for Autism.
