Hopkinton, MA, September 10th – December 17th, 2025, with the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. The Adaptive Arts Department at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts offers classes and events designed with accessibility at its core, including the option for one-to-one support and instructors who are trained in best practices for inclusive education.
* Adaptive Group Dance for ages 18+. This movement class is designed for adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities and/or ASD to express themselves through their unique style of movement. Each class incorporates strengthening, stretching, balancing, as well as learning new movements that travel across the floor.
* Students will learn how to create their own dance sequences along with working on memory skills by learning choreography.
* A presentation (optional participation) will be prepared for the last day of class for friends and family.
* The HCA does not provide support services during this program. If you or your student typically requires a 1:1 assistant or support person, they require that the parent/caregiver/aide remain for the class to assist.
