"The Crash Wheel" with snowboarder and traumatic brain injury survivor Kevin Pearce

Baystate Health, Whitney Avenue Conference center, Holyoke, MA. Whole Children’s 10th anniversary celebration includes champion snowboarder and traumatic brain injury survivor Kevin Pearce and his brother David, along with a viewing of “The Crash Reel”, a film about his snowboarding career and dramatic injury in 2009. The film also shows that Kevin and his brother David both have intellectual disabilities: Kevin’s from the accident, David from birth. The film follows the two as they struggle against their disabilities and it depicts their journey into acceptance of their abilities.
