Boston, June 29th, 2023. The disability community is invited to attend the US premiere of the documentary film “Cuèntame: Historias de Activismo” produced by Cuéntame, a grassroots organization disrupting the mainstream narrative of disability.
* The film celebrates the lives of Peruvian disability activists Bárbara Ventura Castillo, Carla Mertz Salomón, Elizabeth Campos, Luz María Vilchez Ricse, and Orfelia Zanabria Càceres as they fight for a more accessible society.
* Following the screening there will be a panel discussion with the directors of the film.
* The premiere will be held on June 29th at 7 pm at the Virginia Wimberly Theatre, an accessible venue in the South End / Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA, found at 527 Tremont Street, Boston MA 02116.
