Webinar, March 10th, 2022, 8:00 p.m., with a Norwood therapeutic center.  Free and open to the public. The authors of the book, Life After Lockdown: Resetting Perceptions of Autism, have graciously offered to speak on the topics of executive functioning and independence.
About the authors:
* Rebecca Silv
a has a 40-year career working to improving the lives of students with disabilities and their families as a teacher, administrator, professional development specialist, and university instructor. She has authored books and other resources related to autism, assessment, and transition from school to career and adult life.
* Ruth Prystash has worked with individuals with autism for over 40 years. She is a teacher, staff development specialist, and consultant. She currently works as an editor and writer.
René DeLoss works with individuals on the spectrum as a special education teacher, an editor and author, and an in-home tutor. She specializes in individualized instruction, effective teaching strategies, and collaboration with families.
Carol Burmeister is a paraprofessional, general education teacher, special education teacher, program specialist, university instructor, and consultant in a variety of settings. Most recently, her work has focused on executive function (EF), helping parents as well as educational professionals understand the complexity of social, academic, and behavioral challenges that accompany EF deficits and how teaching specific skills in childhood and adolescence can have a positive impact on adulthood.
