Boston, Museum of Fine Arts, July 20th, 2024. For teens with Autism Spectrum and Aspergers Disorders ages 13 to 18. Focus on specific art topics and incorporate discussion, critical inquiry, and sketching in the galleries. Students then work independently on a project with guidance from an experienced instructor.
July Theme: Dive into the wonderful world of natural materials in art. Embark on a gallery tour, marveling at how artists ingeniously weave natural elements into their work, both as medium and muse. Expand your appreciation of art, illuminating the distinctive ways artists echo the beauty of the natural world in their masterpieces.
* After the gallery tour, head back to the studio to craft your very own sun catchers using dried flowers and a medley of natural materials. Channel creativity and apply newfound insights to construct personal pieces of art that encapsulate the splendor of nature.
