Minute Man Arc for Human Services, Concord, August 9th, 2017. Hear Christopher de Vinck is the author of the “Power of the Powerless”, which is about growing up with his severely disabled brother. Chris will discuss how parents and guardians of our loved ones with disabilities often feel powerless  and sometimes view our children in the same way, when, in fact, they have given  us and others who surround them more than we may think. Seeing the rewards and the beauty in our lives and thinking about how we have grown because of our children (and not despite them) is important to recognize as we try to ease the worry that we all face and find joy during our journey.
