* If you are a parent of a child with special needs and maybe feel overwhelmed by the IEP process and how best to advocate for your child, this workshop may be helpful.
* Presenter Angela Ferreira is a non-lawyer advocate who also works at The Arc of Bristol County as an educational consultant. Angela has also been the chairperson of the Special Education Parent Advisory Council in her local school district for the last eight years. She has completed the Parent Consultant Training Institute through the Federation for Children with Special Needs and the Special Education Advocate Training through the Council of Parents Advocates and Attorneys. She is the parent of three children – two with disabilities and one adopted from a trauma background at the age of eight.
