Worcester, MA, January 22nd, 2020. HMEA’s Autism Resource Central present Safety & the IEP: Advocacy, Goals & Being Prepared. This interactive workshop covers what it means to address safety concerns for your child who is accessing special education.
* Discuss ways in which to address your concerns both in the form of advocacy with your team, as well ways in which to create specific goals to address concerns within the IEP.
* Joining a conversation about what safety means for you and your child. Creating a plan to address safety concerns always leads to better results than moving forward with no plan at all.
About the speaker: Carrie Noseworthy, is a mother of three, two of which access special education. She currently works for PPAL as a Family Navigator, conducting juvenile justice diversion in several courts in Worcester County for youth. She earned her MPA from Suffolk University, is a former LEND Fellow and has her BA is Psychology & Sociology.
