MDSC Advocacy Day Public PolicyJune 9th, 2020, State House, Boston. PLEASE CHECK WITH THE MDSC TOO SEE IF THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED.

Free and open to the public and families. The Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC) annual Down Syndrome Advocacy Day is a call to action for all supporters of the Down syndrome community to encourage lawmakers to support critical policies so that all people with Down syndrome have opportunities to lead meaningful, fulfilling lives.
*  Each year, hundreds of members of the Down syndrome community gather at the State House for a lunchtime reception and speeches. After the formal ceremonies, advocates fan out throughout the building to meet with their legislators to tell their personal stories and lobby for Down syndrome priorities.
* A critical element of their legislative success has been connecting with legislators, sharing  personal stories and challenges -one of the most effective vehicles for doing this has been through Advocacy Day.
