Belmont, MA , Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary, April 25th, 2022. Free. These opportunities are available for families and children with autism and other sensory needs to connect with nature, the sanctuary, and each other, in a sensory-friendly environment.
* Take advantage of the quieter hours, to experience the trails at your own pace.
* Aides/companions also receive free admission on Sensory-Friendly Days.
* Some Mass Audubon sites will have special hikes with nature guides available to recommend appropriate trails and guide your experience, while others provide self-lead opportunities.
* You can also find All Persons Trails at many of these sanctuaries. These trails feature wide, flat, ADA-accessible paths connecting parking areas to the wilds of nature.
