Raising Resilient Children Workshop in MassachusettsWebinar, October 8th, 2020 – 7:00 pm, with the Discovery Museum in Acton, MA. Free. With Dr. Gene Beresin, Executive Director of The Clay Center for Young Healthy Minds at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
* This presentation is suitable for parents, grandparents, educators, and anyone with concern about the short- and long-term impact of Coronavirus on our communities’ children and families.
* This second episode in the mini-series will address the realities of the start of the school year.
* Dr. Beresin will present Part 2 of two-part mini series answering your questions on Coronavirus and Family Mental Health.
* There will be an opportunity to share your questions for Dr. Beresin via a survey link that will go live prior to the event. The museum will also email the link to registrants.
* Questions will be consolidated and curated in advance of the event.
* Participation in Part 1 is not necessary.
About the speaker: Dr. Beresin lectures on behalf of the Clay Center’s mission to promote and support the mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being of children, teens, and young adults. Dr. Beresin has focused on prevention, early intervention and treatment of teens and young adults.  In addition to his current roles at The Clay Center and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Beresin also directs the Elizabeth Thatcher Acampora Endowment, an outreach program to meet the needs of underserved youth and families in three community settings. Previously, he served as Senior Advisor for Mental Health and Wellness for Students Against Destructive Decisions.
