Sensory-Friendly Days with the Massachusetts Audubon SocietyLincoln, MA, October 17th, 2022, 1-4 pm Free. In order to continue making nature accessible to all, Mass Audubon created a program series of Sensory Friendly Days at several wildlife sanctuaries throughout Massachusetts.
* During these times, people can visit Mass Audubon properties during times when they are closed to the general public or tend to be relatively quiet.
* Some sites have special hikes with nature guides available to recommend appropriate trails and guide your experience, while others provided self-led opportunities.
* Additionally, many wildlife sanctuaries are typically quiet on weekdays, especially outside the busy summer season.
* Folks with sensory needs are encouraged to call any staffed wildlife sanctuary and ask about upcoming days and times with low visitation or when there are no scheduled school or public programs taking place.
* You can also find All Persons Trails in any season at many of the sanctuaries that participated in Sensory Friendly Days.
* These trails feature wide, flat, ADA-accessible paths connecting parking areas to the wilds of nature.
Pre-registration is requested to www.massaudubon.org/get-outdoors/accessibility/sensory-friendly-days    or contact mass_audubon@massaudubon.org or (781) 259-9500
