MIT Welcome Center, Cambridge, MA, October 15th, 2023. Cambridge Camping hosts Ron Suskind, a Pulitzer Prize winning who will share his story of raising a child with autism and the journey of love, connection, meaning and survival.
* This is a family friendly event. Cambridge Camping staff will chaperone children on a field trip to the MIT museum adjacent to the auditorium during the speaking portion.
* Families will come together after Ron’s talk for a sushi and champagne reception, with kid friendly snacks.
Suskind’s book “Life, Animated”, chronicles his journey filled with love, connection, meaning and survival as told in his film, Life Animated, a Story of Sidekicks, Heroes and Autism.
* This is a fundraiser and there is a ticket fee, however the host is offering a certain number of free tickets to organizations who work in the field or support parents and caregivers.
* Current Cambridge Camping campers, camp families and camp staff attend at no charge
