Webinar, November 14th, 2024, with the Federation for Children with Special Needs in Massachusetts. P2P Listening & Learning Training – Become a Volunteer Support Parent. The FCSN’s Parent to Parent of Massachusetts program builds a bridge of connection between parents and caregivers of children with disabilities and complex medical needs who would like to talk with someone who understands their situation.
* They are recruiting new volunteers who wish to join this program and become trained Support Parents.
* As a volunteer Support Parent you will provide two emotional support calls to another parent of a child with disabilities.
* Bilingual or multilingual? You would be a great asset to theprogram as they are actively expanding to reach more families with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
* During Listening and Learning training, held in two parts, theywill provide details of our P2P matching program, consider the emotional roads we travel as caregivers of children with special needs and enhance our effective listening skills.
