Mental health Event in MassachusettsVirtual sessions the first Thursday of each month in 2025, with guest speakers, through the Metro Boston Recovery Learning Community. This is a peer-run community in the Metro Boston Area for people who have been impacted by trauma, oppression, discrimination, addiction, mental health struggles, extreme emotional states, psychiatric diagnoses, and encountered other challenges.​  Services, groups, classes, events, and activities are free, inclusive, and no insurance or referral is needed.
February 6th 2025 Speaker: Christopher Laureano is a Certified Peer Specialist and Director of the Recovery Education and Learning (REAL) Program at Bay Cove Human Services. Christopher is an autistic person who has also experienced anxiety and trauma through various life situations due to having trouble with reading social cues and learning differently from others.
* Christopher Laureano will be sharing his recovery story and speaking about the importance of ‘breaking the cycle’ when overcoming anxiety, trauma, and life challenges with living as an autistic person, along with the importance of ‘self-evolvement’ in recovery. He will be discussing his work as the Director of the Recovery Education and Learning (REAL) Program at Bay Cove Human Services.
