Virtually and in Person, Fall 2024 & Winter 2025, with the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress. Their 2024-2025 program will include 8 monthly, online, parent sessions and two in-person Curriculum Days. Workshops cover academic topics and instructional strategies, resources and activities to help you work with your child. Parent Sessions
  • Workshop 1- September 21 Level 1: Introduction to Literacy: Match, Select, Name Level 2/3: Sounds, Letters and Blending
  • Workshop 2-October 19 Level 1: Counting and Number Concepts Level 2/3: Number Concepts (Adding and Subtracting)
  • Workshop 3- November 16th WRAP AROUND A: Effective Learning Sessions WRAP AROUND B: Making School Work
  • Curriculum Day- December 7th – All levels: 10:00am-12:00pm
  • Workshop 4- January 4th Level 1: Color, Shape, Sorting & Patterning Level 2/3: Sorting, Ordering and Comparing
  • Workshop 5-February 8th Level 1: Putting Words To Work In Sentences Level 2/3: Putting Words To Work In Sentences & Paragraphs
  • Workshop 6- April 5th – All levels WRAP AROUND: Fostering Independence
  • Workshop 7 – May 3rd Level 1: Sounds, Letters & Words Level 2/3: Building a Better Reader: Fluency/Vocabulary
  • Workshop 8 – May 31st Level 1: Teaching About Time Level 2/3: Practical Use of Time & Money
