Concord, MA, January 15th, 2024, with the Music Makes Me Happy Chorus. Free admission. Music Makes Me Happy Chorus is a private, non-profit human service educational organization dedicated to enriching the lives of people with developmental and physical disabilities through music.
* The Chorus is comprised of special needs people of varying ages and abilities who love to sing, make new friends, and give back to the community.
This event is a concert of songs paying tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. as well as well-known songs from the Civil Rights movement, and favorite gospel songs — with an opportunity for the audience to sing-along.
* The program will feature baritone soloist Rozime Lindsey, soprano soloist Ella McGaunn Geiger, and speaker Jen Turner from the Robbins House African American History Museum in Concord.
*Sing along on such songs as We Shall Overcome, This Little Light of Mine, Oh Freedom, Dona Nobis, This Land is Your Land, Let There Be Peace on Earth, and others.
