Acton, MA, February 8th, 2025, 5 – 8 pm. A special free evening for visitors 18 years and older with developmental disabilities, including having autism or Downs Syndrome, and their families or caregivers.
* Enjoy a friendly experience in an accessible and universally designed museum while exploring our interactive exhibits and participating in hands-on activities.
* Any person 18years old and older who can benefit from a limited capacity visit are welcome at this event.
* A medical diagnosis is not required.
* The Museum will be closed to the general public during the event.
* The Discovery Museum is ADA-compliant and all exhibits are accessible, designed according to Universal Design principles.
* Resources are always available to use including: noise-reducing headphones, a Social Story Guide in six languages, a sensory map to the Museum, and a designated “Take a Break” space.
*American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters may be requested during registration.
* Parking is free and dinner, including a gluten-free option, is provided at all evening events.
All Especially for Me events are free to attend, but preregistration is required.
