* This event is for teens of driving age with autism and autistic adults interested in driving and their family members and
caregivers.
* The Blue Envelope initiative is a collaborative effort aimed at fostering a safer and understanding environment during traffic stops for autistic drivers.
* It involves a specially designed envelope that holds a driver’s documents, including license, registration, and a contact card. The envelope features communication guidelines on its exterior, tailored to assist law enforcement officers in recognizing and adapting their approach if interacting with an autistic driver.
* This workshop will give you the opportunity to practice using your blue envelope and follow directions designed to help you advocate for yourself if interacting with a state trooper.
