CAR’s Grandparents’ Lunch offers grandparents the opportunity to hear professionals in the autism field share information on important topics, and a chance to meet and chat with others who understand the unique joys and challenges that they as grandparents share.
* From June 1 – August 27th 2024, wandering resulted in the drowning deaths of 27 children and 2 adults across the US.
* This workshop will cover: Why do children/adults wander/bolt, when & why it happens, home and personal safety items, about tools and skills that can reduce the risk of wandering, and how to be prepared if a wandering emergency occurs.
* Every grandparent will receive a copy of CAR’s Wandering Prevention Packet.
