October 25th, 2024, with the Boston Fencing Club. Have you always been interested in fencing but didn’t know where to start? Envisioning Access and the Boston Fencing Club, are hosting an accessible fencing event for anyone who would like to learn more about fencing no matter their ability.
* Anyone ages 12 and up who are able-bodied or are living with a physical disability are encouraged to participate.
* Wheelchair fencing (referred to as Parafencing) is a fast moving game of tactics and techniques. Parafencing is enjoyed by athletes with upper and lower limb differences, athletes with cerebral palsy, and athletes with other balance and mobility restrictions.
- 30-minute clinics for all participants.
- Virtual Q&A with National Paralympic team members and coaches.
- Demonstration match between two Boston Fencing Club fencers.
