Autism Grants From The Danny Foundation: Has funding for families, organizations, individuals and professionals to assist in the care, respite, education, diagnosis and treatment of individuals with autism. Deadline is October 15, 2009. Front page, under "Events".

The Discover Conference at Perkins: Saturday, October 24th, Perkins Campus in Watertown. The Discover Conference is for families and professionals from the region to meet others with school age children ages 6-22, who are blind, visually impaired or with additional disabilities. Conference will feature workshops, speakers and information. Front page under

"Making Healthy Connections" in Boston and Springfield: Youth with disabilities and/or special health care needs, ages 14-22, may apply to Making Healthy Connections (MHC), a program where they can meet new friends with similar disabilities, learn independent living, fitness, talking with their health care providers, and access adaptive driving, sports and recreation. Under "Teens and Young Adults" on the Front page.
Gopen Fellowship Applications Now Being Accepted: The Gopen Memorial Fellowship and stipend is open to individuals with developmental disabilities or their family members living in Massachusetts.  Deadline to submit applications for the 2010 Fellowship is October 7th, 2009. "Planning A Life" Transition Conferences: "Planning a Life: Making the Most Out Of High School" conferences are FREE for families in Boston, Worcester and Springfield. Dates are in November, February and April 2010. Conferences offer ttransition planning information and resources for students in special education ages 14-22.
