Rally Against Budget Cuts on Tuesday, May 19th:
The ARC of Massachusetts has scheduled the rally to begain at 11 a.m. on the State House steps, with Folk Music icons Peter Yarrow and Noel "Paul" Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary to speak and perform for the crowd. The ARC organized this event after reviewing the Senate's Committee on Ways & Means FY10 budget released on Wednesday. They discovered $100 million of cuts to disability services, and programs such as Day Habilitation, DMR/DESE, transportation, Autism, Employment and Turning 22 are being severely slashed or possibly eliminated. Call The Arc at 508-835-4278 to find out more details on this important disability rally. As many of us as possible need to attend and make our voices heard. The ARC's website is www.arcmass.org.
