Andover SEPAC will host Dr. Amy Wheadon, who will discuss Recognizing Sensory Processing Challenges and Empowering Your Child. This parent workshop is focused on recognizing and understanding sensory processing challenges and discussing the impact of sensory processing on children and families. *Discuss OT support strategies that are part of the educational model and target ways that parents can help empower their children at home for increased confidence and overall well-being.
About the speaker: Dr. Amy Wheadon, OT, OTD, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, YES has been a pediatric OT for 24 years. She is a graduate of Boston University Sargent College and NEIT, where her doctoral research focused on using high-intensity exercise as a change agent for improved sensory processing and enhanced occupational performance in pediatric clients. Amy is a private practice owner, a novel program founder, and a children’s book series author.
