Virtual Support Group: Surviving Single Parenting through QuarantineWebinar, October 22, 2020, 9 a.m., with the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress. Part of the MDSC’s Virtual Educators Forum Series, which aim to provide information and resources for school-aged youth to ensure that students with Down syndrome and other intellectual or developmental disabilities receive the best education possible.

TOPIC:  “Don’t We Already Do Inclusion?”: 5 Ways to Create Better Schools for All. With Paula Kluth, PhD, Consultant. Due to both COVID-19 and the isolation associated with it, belonging and connection will need to be a central focus of this school year. Hear Dr. Kluth discuss both the current state and the possible near future of inclusive education. She will suggest how to move inclusive practices and ideology forward in this climate and provide concrete examples of how students can be supported and connected to peers.
* Topics that will be addressed include understanding inclusion as a process (vs. as a place), collaborating, and focusing on self-determination.
