New England Disabled Sports is hosting “Sports for Life”, which aims to immerse first time winter participants with New England Disabled Sports in an adaptive sporting experience through active engagement, educational instruction, and resource sharing. 
* They will provide lodging at the Mountain Club on Loon for the student and their family, along with rental equipment, lift tickets, and adaptive instruction for individuals with disabilities at no charge.
The objectives of the “Sports for Life” conference are:
1. Increase awareness of adaptive sports opportunities available for people with disabilities, who reside in
New England.
2. Provide an opportunity for individuals with disabilities to participate in adaptive snow sports in a safe, supportive, environment.
3. Create opportunities for families of individuals with disabilities to engage in outdoor sports together.
4. Provide an opportunity to understand the spectrum of adaptive sports, from beginner to Olympic athlete.
SFL will begin Friday evening with a welcome reception and address from the Katz family. This reception will give
attendees an opportunity to meet one another and talk to the coaches and staff. Saturday will consist of “how to” clinics and on-snow equipment demonstrations. Throughout the weekend, there will be opportunities for resource sharing among coaches, staff and families. The weekend will conclude Sunday with a fun downhill alpine race, for full participation by all SFL attendees.
