Speech Skills in the Hybrid/Online Classroom workshop with the Massachusetts Down Syndrome CongressWebinar, March 6th, 2021, with the Mass Down Syndrome Congress and the 3-21 Foundation of Burlington, MA. Our social thinking and social skills directly impact how others feel about us. This impacts how we are treated, how we feel about others, and ultimately – how we feel about ourselves.
* This workshop will explain what Social Thinking is and will provide examples of how you can support your child to better understand the world in order to build confidence in interacting with others, even more difficult with today’s new COVID norms.
* The goal of this workshop is to arm you with tools and strategies to teach your child how to be more aware of their emotions and how to better predict/relate to the emotions of others.
* By viewing the world through a social lens we hope to promote social behavior that gives others the emotional experience your child intends to give.
