This program is designed for parents, guardians, family members, youth workers, and any caring adults interested in teen mental health.
* Guest speaker Dr. Archana Basu will discuss how the pandemic is affecting teen, parent, and family mental health.
* Dr. Basu will also provide practical evidence-based ways to manage parental stress and share tips for communicating with and supporting teens and young adults.
* About the speakers:
* Dr. Archana Basu is a Psychologist and Instructor in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, at Massachusetts General Hospital/ Harvard Medical School and a Research Scientist in the Department of Epidemiology at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.  As a practicing psychologist, Dr. Basu works with children and families to promote coping and resilience in the context of trauma and bereavement.
* Susan Weinstein is Co-Executive Director @Families for Depression Awareness and is primarily responsible for programs and operations. Ms. Weinstein’s professional experience includes advocating for low-income children’s right to education, enforcing local rent control law, developing continuing education for lawyers, teaching legal research and writing to law students, and running the statewide professional association for veterinarians.
