Teen Romance Canva Intimacy, Dating & Sexuality for Those with Autism Spectrum Disorders Workshop in MassachusettsNewton, MA, March 30th, 2019. Friendships, dating, and relationships can be challenging, and for those with an Asperger/autism or related profile it can even be more of a challenge. Adults on the spectrum may have difficulty fulfilling the social, executive functioning, sensory, and perspective taking tasks often needed to establish and maintain friendships and relationships. Anxiety often inhibits or prevents those with autism from even attempting to enter into relationships despite a desire to do so.
* This conference will explore the issues of intimacy, sex, and dating and offer strategies for establishing and maintaining relationships for those with autism spectrum profiles. Topics include:

  • Relationships, dating and healthy sexuality – Dr. Isabelle Hénault, M.A. Sexology, Ph.D. in Psychology
  • First-Person Panel and Facilitated Discussion
  • The Tree of Love: Life Lessons in Relationship – Karen Lean
  • First-Person Panel and Facilitated Discussion (Part 2)
