Webinar October 24th from 10 a.m., with the Massachusetts Sibling Support Network. Free. This event will provide a space for siblings and sibling supporters to connect, share stories, and find resources for support. Attendance is free to all. Siblings of all ages and sibling supporters (parents, health care providers, service professionals, etc.) are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Various topics will be discussed, including:
- caregiving for siblings with complex health conditions
- planning for the future
- transition care
- navigating health care and disability services.
Speaker Nora Handler has three brothers with intellectual disabilities, and she is an advocate for people with disabilities and their families. Nora serves on multiple governing boards including the National Sibling Leadership Network, Supporting Illinois Brothers and Sisters (S.I.B.S.), and the Arc of Illinois.
