Ashland, April 24th, 2018. Learn about dyslexia and how its negative impact on learning can and is overcome with early identification and targeted interventions. The speaker will be be Dr. Joanna Christodoulou, Director of the Brain, Education, and Mind Lab at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Dr. Christodoulou has an extensive background in studying learning disorders, including dyslexia. Her current work to understand and treat dyslexia includes: (1) identifying early risk factors for dyslexia at home and at school, (2) diagnosing learning difficulties in both clinical and research settings, and (3) optimizing interventions for struggling students.
