Faith and Religion program for families with Disabilities in MassachusettsWebinar, August 24, 2021,  6:30-7:30 p.m.,  with the Minute Man Arc of Concord, MA. Research has shown the positive impact spiritual practices can have on physical and mental health, regardless of religious affiliation.
* Join in to learn about the Soul Food Project , a pilot program in interfaith spiritual support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Discuss the many forms spirituality (both non-religious and religious) can take and how.
* Speaker Rev. Melissa Tustin is the director of the Soul Food Project and Sunday Fellowship, an ecumenical ministry for people with disabilities at West Concord Union Church, UCC. An ordained minister, Melissa has extensive experience providing spiritual formation opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. She and her husband are raising three children in a neurodivergent household and are passionate believers in the healing power of inclusive communities.
* The Soul Food Project is being developed in partnership with the Northeast Region of DDS and Minute Man Arc (with grant funds from CHNA-Area 15 and Emerson Hospital).
