Boston, Museum of Fine Arts, August 19th, 2023. For teens with Autism Spectrum and Aspergers Disorders ages 13 to 18. Focus on specific art topics and incorporate discussion, critical inquiry, and sketching in the galleries. Students then work independently on a project with guidance from an experienced instructor.
August Theme: Fabulous Fashion. In this session, explore the fascinating world of fashion and its impact on society and art history. Take a closer look at pieces from the MFA’s fashion collection, examining their unique styles, materials, and cultural significance. Gain a deeper appreciation for the ways in which fashion can reveal important information about the world around us.
* After exploration, head to the studio to put newfound knowledge into practice by designing bags inspired by the pieces studied. Use a variety of materials and techniques to create unique designs that reflect our own personal styles and creative visions. This hands-on experience will allow participnts to channel inner fashion designers and express yourselves in new and exciting ways.
